Martic Township
The Board of Supervisors are charged with the general governance of the township and the execution of legislative, executive and administrative powers in order to ensure sound fiscal management and to secure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the township. (Second Class Township Code Section 607.1)
Martic's five member Board of Supervisors are the Township's legislative body, responsible for, but not limited to, setting policy, enacting ordinances (local laws), appointing members to other boards and adopting the budget. Supervisors are elected for a six year term.
Board of Supervisor's meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Township Municipal Building, except when a holiday falls on the 1st Monday of the month, then the Board will advertise for a Tuesday meeting.
If you have an item that you would like to discuss at a Board meeting, please email your request or call the Township office, by the Wednesday before the regularly scheduled meeting. If you are not able to notify the Manager ahead of time, an opportunity is always given during the meeting to hear public comment.
